This Week We're Talking All Things Roast!
There’s nothing like a proper roast — but it doesn’t have to end on Sunday.
One of our lovely customers, Philippa Brown, recently turned her leftovers into a next-day pot pie: prime rib, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, gravy, all wrapped in shortcrust pastry and baked. Simple, smart, and spot on.
Got leftovers this week? Let us know what you're doing with them.
Here are some ideas that our customers have shared:
Roast Dinner Sandwich Sliced meat, cold roasties, stuffing, and a bit of gravy in thick white bread. No cutlery required.
Bubble & Squeak Mash the veg, fry ‘til crisp. Serve with a fried egg, or don’t — up to you.
Roast Dinner Fried Rice A bit untraditional, but it works. Dice your leftover meat and veg, toss with day-old rice, and fry it all up with soy sauce and a splash of gravy. It’s not inherently British, but it’s brilliant.
Fry-Up Extras Cold roast potatoes, stuffing bits, sausage ends… all fair game in the pan the next morning.
