Fine Cut Oxford Marmalade

$13.99

Marmalade is one of those very British things that people either feel mildly indifferent about or become absolutely evangelical over.

Paddington, obviously, chose a side.

The people who love it really love it, and this Frank Cooper's Oxford Fine Cut marmalade is exactly the sort of jar they mean when they say they want proper British marmalade. Made with Seville oranges, bright and bitter-sweet rather than just sugary, with fine-cut peel running through it and enough sharpness to wake up a piece of toast properly.

Toast is the obvious accompaniment. Crumpets or pikelets work. Delightful with a good brioche, or scones if you fancy starting an argument. My mum likes it on the side of bacon and toast. And if you’re the sort of person who keeps marmalade on hand for emergency sandwiches, frankly, you’re in good company.

A classic British fine-cut Seville orange marmalade with that unmistakable sweet, sharp, slightly bitter finish.

454g jar
